Dentwood Beginnings

I started drinking coffee regularly in seventh grade and I can probably attribute that to my dad. He’s the same reason I love to listen to classic rock on repeat, why I love hiking and camping, and why I crave good company..

My palate for coffee has grown over the years and so has my fascination for the process. What all is involved from farm to cup is such a long and humble craft. Luckily, I married someone who has supported my dream of roasting and is now an enthusiast himself. His level of detail and perfection has made him an excellent roaster. Tailoring the process for each type of bean so that you get every possible unique flavor and creating a great cup of coffee. Our son Liam has also shown and interest in coffee and occasionally drinks a cup with us in the morning. Lydia however is our supervisor. Her FOMO is strong and she watches to make sure we are working hard and having fun.

Dad was a perfectionist. I try to bring that attention to detail and perfection to Dentwood Coffee. I know he would be proud and I wish he were here to celebrate the new beginnings of Dentwood with me.
